Many holidays we have now come from the ancient Roman celebrations. Everything began with respect to gods and goddesses, nature and other things which human life depended on. There were many pagan holidays some of which we are going to learn about.

There was a holiday which influenced Christmas and it was called Yule. Back then people believed that the Sun was a kind of a wheel which encouraged the change of seasons.
