The “USA Today” is the first daily national newspaper in the USA. It was founded in Washington by a
businessman Al Newhart. The first issue of the newspaper was published on September 15, 1982. The
first lead editor was John Seigenthaler.

The “Argumenti i Fakti” is a weekly socio-political newspaper. In 1978 the All-Union society named “Znanie” began to publish it as a study guide for lecturers and agitators. They published statistical evidence, interesting facts and information from the foreign press which was impossible to find in the official press.
In 1980 the “Argumenti i Fakti” became a weekly newspaper. However, there were no copies in retail and a subscription to the newspaper was limited. The “Argumenti i Fakti” remained a semi-closed newspaper which helped political information officers. (далее…)
